Emma’s is Salisbury, North Carolina’s newest eatery, a renovated century-old Victorian cottage on South Lee Street turned casual cafe. Owned and operated by Allen Terry, Emma’s serves lunch 6 days a week (EMMA’S is closed on Monday), dinner on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. In addition to lunch we have fabulous brunch specials offered on the weekend from 11am-2:30pm.
Emma’s offers a standard lunch menu Tuesday through Friday, with unique chef’s specials at each, such as our special salads, sandwiches and entrees. Menu favorites include Emma’s crab cakes, homemade chicken salad, grilled fish, sweet potato fries, and homemade potato chips. Nearly everything served is homemade with fresh, local ingredients, whenever available.
The circa 1901 cottage at 209 S. Lee Street, once slated for demolition, has been carefully and thoughtfully restored, retaining many original features ~ 12 foot ceilings, the original heart-of-pine floors in many of the dining rooms, and original beadboard and fireplaces throughout. The main living rooms of the cottage are now the dining rooms where Emma’s customers enjoy some of the finest dishes in Salisbury. EMMA’S has seating for 48 inside, in three separate dining rooms within the cottage, with an additional two tables on the front porch and six umbrella tables on a sunny deck at the back of the restaurant.
